The museum is in an area where ceramics have been made for hundreds of years for the royal Joseon Dynasty family as well as modern pieces (a biennial ceramics expo was also being held). Traditional ceramics include the blue and white porcelain
particuarly featuring the dragon emblem (that and the phoenix are auspicious and very popular)
