DAY 13 - A LAST DAY IN NAPLES

Back in Naples for the day, we couldn't resist another quick tip to the museum, around the mosaics

and peace and quiet in the garden

Via Toledo is an ancient street with elegant buildings

but below ground is far more modern: at 50m deep, the award-winning 2012 Toledo metro station is designed around the themes of water and light (part of the city's network of so-called Metro Art Stations)
The Art Stations, distributed along the lines 1 and 6 of the Metro network, include more than 180 pieces of art created by 90 international authors and by some young local architects, and feature different architectural styles. Besides being beautiful and comfortable, they aim to redevelop the surrounding areas, such as Piscinola, Scampia or Chiaiano, and facilitate the construction of new buildings.
