Our 29th anniversary beckoned and January snow was in the air. Time to grab a late flight to somewhere warm
Sadly, the sun was setting when we landed into Ben Gurion airport so it was dark as we taxied it into Tel Aviv; day one was a bit of a write-off but, on the bright side, the hotel had upgraded us from out of the broom-cupboard, and we can confirm that the Israeli immigration folks no longer stamp your passport with a visa that automatically bars entry from who-knows how many countries; instead they now put your 90-day visa onto a tourist card so woe betide you if you lose it!
